REMEMBER THERE IS VERMONT OPEN MIC ON MONDAY DECEMBER 6TH 2010
BIG NEWS FOR THIS MONDAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUNIM/MURRAY CASTINGING DIRECTORS WILL BE AT OUR OPEN MIC ON MONDAY. THEY ARE casting a new documentary special for TV about singers. They are looking for inspiring stories of performers who gave up their aspirations of a musical career when life got in the way but whose passion for music still burns bright. They want to hear how your love for singing has helped you through difficult times.
So lets see all you performers there on Monday. Let them see what talent we get on Mondays. Who knows you may be caste for the new documentary! If you have questions contact them at 818.756.7031
OUR GUEST HOST WILL BE DON SCOTTI. NO I HAVE NOT LOST MY MIND. DON ASKED LAST WEEK WHEN HE HOSTED IF WE HAD ANYONE FOR THE 6TH. WE DID NOT AND HE SAID HE WOULD LOVE TO DO IT AGAIN.
22 performers graced our open mic stage on Monday. We made it around twice. 4 newcomers were with us.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT DECEMBER 20TH IS OUR ANNUAL TOY DRIVE FOR THE CHILDREN. BRING AN UNWRAPPED TOY, WHICH RON AND I WILL DELIVER TO THE CHILDREN WHO ARE IN THE HOSPITAL AND MAY NOT GET ANY PRESENTS FOR CHRISTMAS. GUEST HOST FOR THIS SPECIAL EVEING WILL BE TOM KIESCHE.
This week's guest judge for Cabaret Idol will be Adam Pascal from “Rent”.

1.Luke Eberl- Always plays such fantastic piano pieces, and the people love it !
2.Miriam Birch- Who after we sang Happy Birthday to gave us “Come rain or Come Shine”. Don’t forget Miriam is in the running at Cabaret Idol on Sunday Night. See info in show notes.
3.Patrick Browne- Who brought his mother along who is visiting from Ireland. The three of us had such a great chat. Patrick let us know his “Christmas Wish”.
4.Ernesto Acosta- He and a friend did an original number on guitar and vocals.
5.Karen Christie-Popped by to gives us a look at “Both Sides Now”. Karen was next looking for a partner because “Music Makes Me Dance”.
6.Telly Savalas- Without his lollipop was in the mood for “That Loving Feeling”.
7.Lolly Allen- One of our newcomers wanted that special sauce that no one seems to know what it is. “Frim Fram Sauce”. After that Lolly got all “Twisted”.

10.Brianna Brown- Was “Evil” Which is very far from the sweet person she really is.
11.Scott Free- Our guitar player with “Live Music”.
12.Greg Harlan Roth- Who brought along that cute Danish man Morten had a comment about our beautiful sunsets. “Orange Colored Sky”.
13.Morten Kver- With a number he played on the piano and sang. I hope I have this one spelled right. “Synchronicity”.
14.Gaby- Who has a Birthday this Sunday also got a Birthday song from the group.
Wanted to climb a very special staircase. “Stairway To Heaven”. Followed by “Rainbow Connection”.
15.Wagner- Told us about a very special circle. “Circle Of Life”. Next was “No Matter What Happened”.
16.Lois Bowers- I have to give her a special thank you. She said she felt a little cold coming on. So she brought her own mic to sing with. She and Scotti are such thoughtful people. Her song title echoes my thoughts of them both “Unforgettable” Along with “It Had To Be You”.
17.Ralph- Along with his guitar gave us a unique original song. “Bathroom Songs”.
18.Paul Greene- We know he is a special guy and his friends think so also, He had a friend with him who flew all the way from Canada just to hear Paul sing this song at our open mic. “A Message”
19.Jane Mannon- “Begin The Beguine” and “Amore”.
20.Rena- Was “ Falling In Love With Me” Wonder who the me was?.
21.Kevin Duggan- He always has a surprise in song and language choice for us. He first talked about “Yesterday”. Followed by ???????????????????????????

a very exciting new LIVE competition called Cabaret Idol. It's a bit like American Idol, except the audience comes to the cabaret, watches the show, and votes for their 3 favorite performers. There will also be celebrity judges. There were auditions for the contestants, so it should be top-notch entertainment. The winner will get his/her own show, plus a recording contract and other perks. Sounds fabulous to me!
