In all my years of seeing The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies, I have never laughed harder than when watching John Davidson's act. He headlines now through May 9, 2009, and you will not want to miss him. Though it doesn't do justice to how awesome he is live, here is a short clip of what you can expect.
Today's matinee was made extra special with the presence of the wonderful Kaye Ballard in the audience. Ms. Ballard has been a past headliner at the Follies and during her VIP announcement, impresario Riff Markowitz came off the stage to Ms. Ballard's seat and asked her to tell his favorite joke of hers. As far as I know, that was the first time he's ever done something like that with a celebrity in the audience and I was glad I got to see it first hand.
